Have you ever used your embossing folder with vellum or a window sheet? Give it a try, you’ll be amazed at the result!

Here are the products used today

  • Product of the month: Sunflower embossing folder
  • Petunia Pop 4-1/4 x 11 scored at 5-1/2
  • Smoky Slate 3 x ¾
  • Vellum card stock 4 x 5-1/4
  • The Right Words stamp set
  • Textured Notes die (2nd largest)
  • Happy Labels punch
  • White craft ink

I’ll first cut out the center of the card front with the Textured Notes die. Save that cut out piece for another project!

Next, emboss the vellum with the Sunflower 3D embossing folder. This is a WOW all by itself!

I’ll apply the glue next, but here are a few tips. Turn the vellum upside down on the inside of the front cut-out. This way you’ll be able to see exactly where to add glue. Also, I used a puddle of glue on my silicone craft mat and picked it up with a sponge dauber to apply to the vellum. This ensures no glue lines are visible through the vellum.

I just added a simple greeting made with the Happy Labels punch and a big loopy bow adhered to the back. And voila, a really simple card with a WOW factor!
