This month’s technique is as bold and beautiful as stained glass itself!
I’m so excited to share this one with you because it’s one of those techniques that instantly makes your project look like it took hours (when really, it’s surprisingly simple!).
This month, I’m featuring the Etched Autumn stamp (item #166082). This is a background-type stamp.

Measurements:
- Very Vanilla Thick: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 (scored at 4-1/4)
- Very Vanilla: 2-5/8 x 4 (layer); 2 x 3 (greeting)
- Crushed Curry: 4 x 5-1/4 (layer)
- Basic Black: 2-7/8 x 4-1/4
- Vellum: 2-1/2 x 3-7/8
- Blackberry Bliss: 2 x 3
I’m stamping with versamark on the vellum, then adding black embossing powder and heat embossing it.

Next, I’m using Stampin’ Blends to color on the back of the vellum randomly. You may choose to carefully color each leaf separately instead.

Be sure to choose the right color layer for directly under the stained glass. I found that white or vanilla worked best. Then just adhere the layers and voila!
