October Sketch Challenge

If you’ve ever stared at your supplies wondering where to even start, sketches are a total lifesaver. Think of it as a blueprint that gives you just enough structure to get going—while still leaving plenty of room for your own style and flair. I love seeing how one simple sketch turns into dozens of completely different creations.

Measurements:

  • Very Vanilla Thick: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 (score at 4-1/4)
  • Old Olive: 4 x 5-1/4
  • Crushed Curry: 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
  • Very Vanilla: 3/4 x 3
  • Old Olive: scraps
  • Cajun Craze: scraps

Of course I’m using Etched Autumn (166082 product of the month) as well as the Modern Oval punch (162234).

I’ve used tone-on-tone to make a background. Then I will then punch it out based on the sketch, keeping the pieces in order.

Optional: add some ink around the edges of each piece.

Dry fit the pieces onto your card front or layer, then adhere and trim off excess. Add a greeting and embellishments.
