This is not only fun, but simple! I’m using the March featured product (Layers of Beauty Bundle).
First I stamp the image a couple of times in black on white cardstock. Then cut out a portion to be spotlighted. I used a die from Stylish Shapes to cut out a square.

On the cut out square, I colored the image and then adhered it to a slightly larger square of black. For coloring, I chose to use a blender pen along with Peach Pie and Shy Shamrock inks.

Then I mounted the original white layer onto a slightly larger black mat and adhered to the card front (Peach Pie). Note: I was able to use a scrap that a butterfly had previously been cut out of because all I really needed was that outer edge to show.
I stamped “hello” to the front and adhered the matted square back into the place where it had been cut out.
