This is one of the cards we made in the July class. It’s very easy and uses the Scalloped Blooms bundle (167647), which is the featured product this month. In class, we made one in Hydrangea Hue and one in Crisp Cantelope

Here are the supply measurements:

• Basic White: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 (base); 2-1/2 x 2-1/4 (greeting)
• Hydrangea Hue/Crisp Cantelope: 4 x 5-1/4 (layer)
• Barely Blush: 2 x 2-1/2 (focal)
• 2026-28 Gingham Gallery DSP: 1-1/4 x 4 (layer)

I started by embossing the “layer”. I used the Stone and Vine embossing folder.

I always like to dry fit my pieces before actually adhering them. Ultimately, I adhered the embossed layer to the card base and then adhered the Gingham Gallery DSP to the front just below center.

Using some washi tape, I placed my two smallest bloom dies onto the Barely Blush and die cut them. I chose to cut the label at the same time.

I stamped the greeting toward the top of the label in order to leave room for the linen thread, which I tied around the bottom.

I adhered the greeting label to the card front so that some of the DSP is showing below. Then I added the “frame” of the flower so that none of the DSP is showing through the cut out.

I used my bone folder to curl the edges of the flower center. This is kind of like curling ribbon with scissors. Curl the flower from the center outward until you like the results. I adhered this is place with a glue dot. See how the color from the layer peeks through?
