This is a super simple card that we’re making in class this month.
The supply list:
- Crumb Cake: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 (base); 4 x 5-1/4 (layer)
- Basic Black : 2-5/8 x 4-1/8 (mat)
- Basic White: 2-1/2 x 4 (focal); 4 x 5-1/4 (inside); 3 x 3/4 (greeting)
As you know, I prefer to dry-fit everything before I start adhering so I’ll start with folding and creasing the card base and set it aside.
Then I’ll run the 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Crumb Cake through the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder. Set this aside for now too.

I’m just using black ink, although I’m trying the NEW Hybrid Basic Black for this card. The hybrid means that you no longer have to think about which ink to use for which application. You may use this for watercoloring AND Stampin’ Blends (alcohol markers).
I’m stamping the floral spray image on the inside piece and in the center of the focal piece. Will also use the texture image, ink and stamp-off 3 times diagonally across the focal piece. I’m also stamping the greeting before I close up the ink pad.

Then I’ll color the flowers. I’m using a Stampin’ Write Marker in Daffodil Delight. You may alternatively use Blender Pens with any color ink.

Now let’s put it altogether! Adhere the embossed piece on the front. Then adhere the focal image to the Basic Black mat and then to the center of the card front. Make a big, loopy bow with Linen Thread to attach to the center of the back of the greeting. Then adhere the greeting with dimensionals. Also adhere the inside piece.
Quick and easy, right?
